About Andrea Ward

My Background

Prior to leading large-scale content production at Target, I received my BFA from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. This is where I began my journey in color design, by creating paint palettes and forecasting trend colors for major paint retailers. That foundation still shapes how I see the world: I’m drawn to nuance, mood, and the emotional power of color, whether I’m developing a visual system or refining a story through imagery.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about animals and have enjoyed time volunteering at an animal rescue as a studio photographer.  I love to photograph people and events, always chasing the energy, emotion, and in-between moments that make a story feel real. I find that small moments of connection can mean everything, and make an image come to life.  When I’m not working or shooting, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family, traveling whenever we can, and proudly carrying on my family’s Korean traditions, especially the ones that bring everyone together around food, celebration, and shared stories.
